As I sit here, wearing my waist trainer and thinking about how many chocolates I shouldn’t have had today I can’t help but wonder, why do women need this extra pressure put on us?! In this day and age, working outside the home, hoping you’re raising your kids right, what you’re making for dinner and planning family events, just isn’t enough. Now we have to add in our weight. Bad hair day….pony tail, yellow teeth…teeth whitener, bad weight….now thats a longer process. Now i’m not sure about everyone else but I feel like I’m constantly either loving how I look strutting my stuff, or avoiding the mirror with LuLuroe being my best friend. I also starting the shake diet. I was doing two shakes a day, however that only lasted about 3 weeks because well quit frankly I missed chewing my food. However, I do throw in a shake for lunch every once in a while…hey its something right?! February has now come but I can’t help to count down the number of days until spring time comes, which also means, those containers of summer clothes under the bed have better still fit me come that time.
To add to the struggle, tomorrow is a snow day! That means as my partner and I work from home, cozied up on opposite ends of the couch with laptops in toe, the little one will spend her day playing as any kid does on snow days. Only problem is, I promised banana bread. The most moist, delicious, childhood throwback I could ever make. It’s a bit of a tradition, snow equals mom is baking, which also means, mom will be eating. This time I am a women with a plan, paleo. That means no sugar and nothing processed..minus all the good stuff. I will let you all know tomorrow which recipe I choose if it ends up being a success so you can try it too.
The woman’s job amazes me when you think about all that we do. *sigh*
